The Connection Between Teeth and ED

Here’s one more reason for men not to neglect their dental health. Recent studies have shown a correlation between periodontal disease and erectile dysfunction.

It appears that men who experience chronic periodontal disease, or CPD, are much more likely to suffer from ED than those who take care of their pearly whites. CPD causes damage to the endothelial cells, which form the lining of all the blood vessels, including the ones that supply blood to the nether regions.

Damage to these cells impedes blood flow, and lack of blood flow to any part of the body is a bad sign. CPD is treatable, and preventable, and totally worth the time. Men, see your dentist at least twice and year, and get in there and brush at least twice a day. Take care of your teeth and they’ll take care of you, in more ways than one.
